~ Hot Weather Skin Care Tips~

1) SPF

Your summer skin care routine absolutely must include a broad spectrum sunscreen. Not only are you exposed to more sun in the summer, but you also tend to sweat your SPF off, so make sure to reapply every 2 hours.

2) Light, oil-free moisturizer

Even as oil production tends to increase in the summer, you still need to properly hydrate your skin. Those with oily skin or a spike in summer oil production should use a lightweight moisturizer that refreshes and hydrates without adding shine.

3) Acne spot treatment

Due to a spike in summer oil production combined with hot weather skin problems, like chlorine and sweat, acne can be a big issue in the summer. Try Dermalogica’s Special Clearing Booster with 5% benzoyl peroxide,  a spot treatment to clear away unwanted summer breakouts.

4) Control oil

One of the best hot weather skin care tips is to keep an oil control product like Dermalogica’s Clearing Mattifier with you. This lightweight mattifier will clear breakouts, reduce congestion and control shine.

5) Summer body skin care

Since warmer weather means more exposed skin, Dermalogica’s Ultimate Buffing Cloth is an invigorating exfoliating towel,  great to slough off dead skin anywhere on your body especially your back, feet, knees and elbows.

Dermalogica’s Body Hydrating Cream is an advanced body lotion that helps tone and smooth all skin conditions. Use after cleansing to help hydrate skin and lock in moisture.

6) Travel size

Travel sizes of your favorite hot weather skin care items are essential for any summer vacation. These travel size products are flight-friendly. Plus, even if you don’t have travel plans, they’re the perfect size to throw in your purse, gym bag or beach tote!

Total Solar Eclipse

On Monday, Aug. 21, 2017, a total eclipse will cross the entire country, coast-to-coast, for the first time since 1918. Weather permitting, the entire continent will have the opportunity to view an eclipse as the moon passes in front of the sun, casting a shadow on Earth’s surface!
